is a community of faith, based in Montgomery, Alabama and engaging virtually across the country, gathered by Christ, growing spiritually, serving our community, getting to know our neighbor, welcoming all, and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
We GATHER in fellowship with other Christians, reaching to the margins to include all.
We GROW spiritually as we engage our world through a theological lens as people of faith, exploring how God is speaking and active in our world today.
We GO into the world to share the Good News of Jesus, as we strive to live the love of Christ in our words and actions, loving and serving our neighbor.

Life Happens Fund Adopt-A-Classroom
At Gathered by Grace, we believe that life happens and small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference, particularly when funds are tight. This school year, we are excited to launch through our Life Happens Fund, our Adopt-A-Classroom Initiative, supporting teachers as they prepare their classrooms for a successful year. Teachers often purchase classroom supplies with their own money to ensure their students have what they need to learn and thrive. Through this initiative, our community will partner with teachers by purchasing items from their classroom wish lists.
If you are a Montgomery, AL teacher, we invite you to apply! Simply create an Amazon Classroom Wish List and complete the application below. While we cannot guarantee that every item will be purchased, we will do our best to provide as many requested supplies as possible based on available donations.

Dinner and Dialogue

Join us in-person on Tuesday, July 21st at 6 p.m. for Dinner and Dialogue at Chappy’s Deli, 1611 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL. All are welcome! Invite someone. Dinner is provided. We’d love for you to join us for a great faith-based discussion and fellowship!
This month’s community outreach is Trenholm State Student Food Panty, The Councill Pantry. It is Trenholm State’s direct response to the need of its students facing food insecurity. As the cost of higher education continues to rise, many students are confronted with difficult choices like essential needs, such as food and personal items, or the pursuit of a higher education. Please consider donating some of these needed food items:
- Peanut butter or cheese crackers
- Trail mix and mixed nuts
- Individually packaged cookies or snack cakes
- Chips, Pretzels, popcorn,
- Shelf-stable individually wrapped breakfast items

This year, we step into something sacred—our 10th year as Gathered by Grace.
What began as a bold, Spirit-led experiment has become a community that consistently shows up with compassion, with courage, and with grace. As we look back with gratitude and look forward with faith, we’re anchoring this year in the theme:
“10 Years of Abundance: Rooted in Grace. Reaching in Love. Ready for More.” It’s inspired by the words of Jesus in John 10:10—“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
It’s about living fully, loving freely, and trusting that God is not done working through us. Over the next year, we’ll celebrate stories of impact, plant seeds for the future, and continue becoming the kind of community that gathers with grace, grows in faith, and goes out with love.
Abundance is not a destination. It’s the journey we’re still on—together.
